Opium KL @ Changkat Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur

Thursday, October 16, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

I bought this valuable vouchers from Living Social offering RM 20 for RM 50 cash voucher. (60% Savings!). I want to make this a special day to celebrate our anniversary and quickly buy two vouchers to try the food here. My friend tried the food in Opium before and the feedback is quite good with nice decoration as well.

Opium KL is newly opened in July 2014, this place is filled up with mid-18th century Shanghai era and the vintage charm is at every corner of this lovely restaurant. Purely traditional Chinese cultural with impressive interior. Wooden furniture and flooring, dim lights, makes this place so comfortable looking.

Chinese wine at this section

The unique long tables that are under reservations

Sections of privacy with red curtains

Outdoor seats is great when the nights turns lively with nearby pubs and music all night long

Oriental Theme restaurant that serves Asian food.Their food has more spicy choices

Admiring the entire restaurant display. Notice some of the oldies pipes

Cocktail sections

I love this rosey section. Romantic ambiance and quiet dining environment

The gents and ladies deco is so impressive.

Look what I found!!

Lemongrass Sticks RM 12 - Chicken, Squid, Lemongrass and Tumeric. Aromatic and flavorful .The Serving is very special on the Dim Sum basket and the chili sauce is great.
Sugarcane prawns RM 15 - Combination of chicken, squid, chive and sugarcane. Light snacks to start off with.

Nice cutlery with traditional chopsticks , plates and the spoons as well.

Stewed Chin Baung Chicken with kenaf leaves and chili RM 35 served with steamed lotus-leaf buns. Soft buns but the stewed chicken is too salty.

Opium Wanton Noodles RM 28. Big serving of the noodles with crispy anchovies, minced chicken, crunchy mushroom and spinach. Served with bowl of wanton soup.

Small packet of snacks for us.
Feedback forms/who knows we might have the luck

The food here is overprice and too salty with lots of MSG. Both of us had sore throat after having the dinner and quickly drink lots of water. Environment is perfect as well as the services.

From 3rd of November onwards, you can enjoy FREE FLOW of dim sums, noodles and drinks. Only available for lunch from Mon-Fri, 12-2.30pm at Opium KL. I am looking forward to try this with my colleagues.
