Italiannies @ Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

How time flies..and now we are in the month of December. Get together for our lunch at Pavilion to have a good meal to celebrate Christmas. We are excited and looking for some nice cozy place to hang out. Initally we wanted to dine in at Din Tai Fung at Level 6, but we need to queue and wait for 15 minutes. Time is running out and we changed our plan to Italiannies  instead. I remembered this place is used to be Bulgogi Brothers and now they have changed to Italiannies.

Crowded place but they have available seats for 8 of us. The restaurant is decorated with a nice Christmas tree and bright lighting with the colourful wording wishing the customers Merry Christmas at the wall. Comfortable atmosphere but the service is very slow.  My colleague complained that her drinks are sweet. All of us try her drinks which is sweeter than us. First time I try sweet warm water. No wonder..because when we confronted the waiter, he told us they accidentally poured the sugar syrup in one of my colleague warm water.Sigh..

We are served with complimentary bread and one of my colleague wanted to take the food picture first. But both of us are too hungry and we quickly grab the bread and was laughing..jokingly telling her.." Do you want us to put it back for you to take picture??"

Quattro Platter RM 38.90 - A combination of deep-fried risotto balls, calamari, fried lemon cheesy balls and zucchini strings, served with marinara sauce and alfredo sauce for dipping. I love the crispy zucchini strings and the calamari. The cheesy balls melts inside the mouth with a delightful taste.

Calamari Caesar RM 33.90 - Classic salad with roasted button mushroom, caps, artichoke hearts, black olives, roasted capsicum topped with fried calamari. Superb starter, refreshing and we are enjoying the salad.

Classic Carbonara RM 26.90 - Fettuccine pasta tossed in Parmesan, cream sauce with smoked beef bacon and fresh button mushrooms. We requested them to change the beef bacon to turkey ham. Rich and creamy Carbonara. Worth trying.

Chicken Lasagna RM 35.90 - A harmony of savoury minced meat ragout, cream sauce and layers of lasagna baked with mozzarella cheese, served on marinara sauce. The combination blends pretty well and this portion is advisable to be share among 2-3 person.

Aglio olio Spaghetti RM 19.90 - Simple pasta to try. Spaghetti tossed in olive oil, garlic and chilli.

Pizza Enorme RM 55.90 - Our huge 16” family pizza with four flavours. Pepperoni, turkey ham and pineapple, shrimp and mushroom, and roasted garlic with a pomodoro base. Honestly, the pizza taste weird. I can smell a strong roasted garlic spread on the pizza surface. We actually still wondering the actual taste of the whole pizza. The combo of sweet, sour, and saltiness.

The gigantic Pizza with incredibly good crust

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!!..in holiday mood...
