This is truly the best dining experience i ever had for this year. Love the food, service and environment. Warm welcome by the staff here and even the lady bos charlie is there to have a chat with. Family dining concept and quiet environment.

 

Grumps is located at Plaza Kelana Jaya and nearby the lake .Very nice dining place with family or friends.They also cater for gatherings, weddings and birthday events. 

I only spent RM 28 for this deal because Groupon has given my hubby RM 20 free credit. 

 

The portion is really large and we both looking at the huge pork rib and sausage and smiling whether we both can finish it up. The pork rib taste is really good with mustard sauce.  

 

A little difficulty to properly dine in with knife and forks as with two little naughty girls, dining experience is challenging yet having fun and they makes us laugh all the time. Baby will be busy playing on the sofa while i having my pork rib using finger. More tasty and easier to bite on the meat. 

 

My hubby loves the mashed potatoes and the German sausage. Very delicious serving of juicy grilled German Sausage and the pork rib. According to Charlie, all the pork served here is fully imported and really high quality of food they served.


First try on this crispy fried pork skin. The portion all here served is look alike in the picture as advertise in Groupon website deal and also in Grumps actual menu. The pork skin is not oily at all and very crunchy just like munching on snacks.

Got a surprised from this deal. They are serving kid's meal!. Wow!.such a big portion of fried nuggets and fries with salad dressing. My girl really loves it

The pork meat all covered with tasty mustard sauce. Lots of pieces of pork ribs. This portion actually can shared up to three person.

Set lunch during from Monday to Saturday. Surprisingly Saturday they have set lunch and the price is just for only RM 18 nett .Will visit again to try on other menu.

Beautiful deco

Comfortable dining area and i like the dim light, the full decoration in this restaurant. The price for buffet style is from RM 32-RM35 for small event for 20-30 people, can be both indoor and outdoor.

My girl enjoying walking along looking at this lake view, weather is just nice, and moreover the outdoor dining area is covered.


These are the ongoing promotion list. The parking is free on sunday and public holiday, You may park at any reserved lot.  Grumps also have another outlet in SS2 Mall which is called Grumps Cafe and they have set lunch as well.

Dr. Cafe Coffee @ KL Festival City Mall - 3rd Visit

This is my third visit to Dr. Cafe Coffee and this round with my parents , sis and not to forget my little nephew and niece. Its time to have a tea break after shopping around KL Festival City. We ordered Jumbo hot mocha and mocha frappe from the LivingSocial deal. Really big portion and we really enjoying the coffee.



My sister's blueberry cheese cake. Too much of cream on the side. The cake is soft and blueberry tastes good.

Strawberry macaroons. Looks good but i don't like much on desserts

The Pool @ Jalan Ampang

Bought another deal from LivingSocial for only RM 49 cash voucher for the amount of food to be order up to RM 100. Which means this deal is 50% from the original price which is worth the value at this happening place to dine in. The Pool is located at Jalan Ampang. After you pass by Glean Eagles, you will see BHP Petrol Station on your left. Then, you have to turn right. 

We are lead to the second deck, above the pool side area. Actually, my option to have a seat near the pool side, but there is a wedding event going on. Anyway, the dining seat here can view the pool side too. 

But the service here is just average. They served with food with the same choices first. What i means by this statement is for this example. Few tables are using the deal voucher as well. But we are the first couple to dine in. The couple seating next to us who just reach, their food is served in just 10minutes! They also order the same thing the chicken sausage wrap.The next food is the burger. All three plates of monster burger for other tables. I got angry and ask one of the waiter. Poor language and i really got mad. Then only come the other  two main dish that we have ordered. There is no consistency and they should serve who ever that comes first.

No wonder my stomach is growling now. Too hungry. I reached there at 8pm, takes some time to order my food by 8.15pm , and my food finally reach on my dining table at 9.10PM!

Chicken sausage wrap with side of nachos. (RM 24)  Very soft nice chicken sausage wrap and munching on the crispy nachos with great salsa sauce. Waited for more than 40 minutes for our dinner to be served.

Grilled chicken and mixed Potatoes (mushroom sauce) (RM 28). They also have black pepper sauce. Mixed potatoes inclusive of fries and wedges. I like the mushroom sauce. Something different sauce that i tried so far, Blended well with the grilled chicken. Grilled chicken is tasty, marinated with special ingredient.
Sauteed spinach is on the bottom. You can see the salmon is well cooked, and the taste is really delicious.

Pan Fried Salmon RM 40 topped with signature sauce on a bed of sauteed spinach. I still figure out what is the yellow graving there.  Looks like mashed potato, but hubby said it tastes like eggs. The salmon is awesome. 



This deals is strictly only on item mains, pasta and burgers. Not inclusive of desserts.  The green monster looks like a very large portion. The recommended are the ASAHI Beer Fish and Chips. But i prefer the salmon choice.

Not inclusive of light bites. They should have cover up those to avoid confusion.

Option to order fresh juices as this deal does not include any drinks. Not even warm water for  FOC. Everything you have to pay for additional drinks.


Hubby enjoying the night. So i should not be mad about the long waited food to be served as today is also a memorable day for us. Its out 3rd anniversary, and my hubby birthday!

Kyoto Lab @ The Pool, The Japanese restaurant served good Japanese cuisine. I just pass by and looking at the counter and also people who dine. The food looks really tempting.

Wonderful place to be with your loved one. Will  come back for the happy hour session perhaps with live music and great DJs.

Very interesting wedding event is going on, cheerful people with great MC of the nite. Lively techno music, and this place is really happening. I wonder how much it  cost to held such event with unlimited beer and wine.

Our total bill is over RM 100. So we just need to top up another RM 6.70. Great deal with good food and environment.

Parking is too expensive. RM 10 per entry and we have to walk for a distance with rocky road. Or rather you have another option to park your car at RM 20 nearer to the entrance. My hubby suggest we can just park at opposite road near the mamak stall.



They also have happy hour session, Ladies entrance fee is free daily, while men need to pay RM 35. They also have event such as pool party.

Located at Sri Hartamas, this place is very comfortable with soft music, really love their unique deco with lots of choices of wine .Parking need to pay at RM 5. But you can find parking lot at behind the shop lot, as there will no charges i guess. Along this area, mostly are pub and bistro, thus charging a high price for parking lot.

 When we step inside, i am very impress of their inner creativity deco with romantic feel, and also wide range of wine on display counter. For this voucher, We need to choose the following pasta.


Choose any  one of the pasta choices from:
 
1. Shrimp Aglio Olio Pasta
2. Chicken Bolognese Pasta
3. Bacon Carbonara Pasta
4. Squid Marinara Pasta
5. Creamy Mushroom Pasta
6. Pesto Sauce Pasta

I have made my selection for the marinara seafood pasta. Pasta is well cooked, the taste is just nice, the ingredient is fish, prawn but all in very tiny pieces. A little confusion here about this voucher. Stated as pairing with wine, but there will be no wine served. 

 *The Pasta will be served together with a glass of pairing wine and fruits. This statement from JoinMe website, is very misleading, even i called up to clarify, they are not sure about this.

Only choose one type of pasta available in the menu and the fruits platter is as following.They do serve warm water anyway.

Lots of wine choices. They have promotion on wine buffet at RM 60 with free parking on weekdays only from 5.30 pm to 9pm. Check out their FB for further updates.

We just need to choose one of the pasta from their menu.What attracts me from their menu is this rice burger and wine ice cream. I wonder how it taste like.

The picture shown in their menu for marinara seafood pasta item no.13 is totally different from what we get. There is not even one squid, after all it is free taste voucher. I wanted to approach the boss, but he is on the phone all the time. 

The rice burger on item no.15, looks interesting. This is the pork rice burger.

High quality of wine


Old Palace is a "Fusion Remix Concept Food Restaurant" where they serve western and Korea cuisine too besides fine wine.

Another issue to share here about the latest purchased for travel deals to Glory Beach Resort from JackCow which is only RM 97 for 2D 1N. This was my friend's first experience and she is really disappointing with this purchase and will think twice to purchase any other deal in future for travel deals and also from JackCow.

 She wish to stay during weekdays, but was informed by the merchant, only weekends are available and need surcharge of RM 99 Fri - Sat. They said everything is fully book for weekdays, and the sentence as below
 It's still very reasonable :) . Weekend charges in as per hotel rates are easily RM350.00++
Well, the choice is all yours :) You stay on weekends, you get the weekend benefits :) ... Weekdays also has it's benefits (less people crowding in the pool)
In my opinion. i don't think in such a hotel quality weekend charges is up to RM 350. She even checked the website room charges is lower than this amount. Morever, after she bought this deal, she immediately email to the merchant to make a booking, but the email replied to her only after 2 days. I also will not agree. All weekdays room are f ully book and not even in a school holiday month??

So she request for full refund as this voucher is not being used yet within the voucher period, but was rejected. She can get the full refund but she will be charge 3% of the total amount purchased as admin fee. JackCow claimed that this terms is stated in the website.

So as the trend now, online deals website and merchant is very smart and they are more concern on the terms. Now it is really hard to get a full refund, depend on situation, and perhaps, we need to do more research on each updated terms in the website.

Yokozuna is located at Jalan Perak inside the Fraser Place, high rise apartment, and just beside the Hong Leong building. Parking is flat rate per entry costs us only RM 5.

PACKAGE A: Meal without sashimi
  • Meal for 2 people for RM26 instead of RM61.40 (only RM13 per person) 
There are more 30 choices to choose from. Price is reasonable and the portion is acceptable.If you want to know the price for each set menu, you can easily look up at the main entrance, all prices are stated in the same picture menu shown above. 

Price starts from RM 16.90 up to RM 23.90. Menu set which is much more expensive is  salmon teriyaki, tempura and seafood teppanyaki. Set dinner will be the same portion but the price is higher about RM 2- RM 3.

Salmon Teriyaki Zen. Very nice teriyaki sauce and the grilled salmon fillet is yummy  yummy. Served with chawanmushi, miso soup, pickles, and fruit slices. Fresh preparation of food from the kitchen. Original Price is RM 19.90.

Chicken Katsu Zen.Crispy fried chicken and my girl really like it so much. Served with sweet sauce and egg mayonnaise. Original set lunch price is RM 16.90.

Cozy dining environment and place to hang out for casual dining in a high rise residential service apartment. During weekdays, they have ala carte sushi display at the far end counter shown above, price range from RM 3 to RM 8.

She really loves to eat the chawanmushi. The friendly staff also provide her the kid's eating utensils.

Yokozuna also cater for party, up to 40 pax, Lots of sushi choices available here.
