We are going for a short vacation!! Surprise, Excited and Jumping. That are my kids expression when I tell them and they keep reminding me to bring their swimming float, swim suits, and snacks. They have many questions in mind now bugging me with the question ‘Where? When? Why? Who? And Why.."again and again. We are heading to Dorsett Grand Subang about 30 minutes drive from our home for 2D 1N weekend gateway. Hubby busy preparing his camera, while I am ensuring all clothes and food are all packed in our luggage bag.

Dorsett Grand Subang invites the Kids for a free weekend stay and dining experience.

At RM298.00 nett per room per day, families can enjoy a weekend in a Deluxe room with breakfast and other free goodies for the kids (below the age of 12 years old).

During the weekend stay, guests are invited to use the many facilities and services available such as the pool. To eliminate the hassle of finding weekend parking complimentary scheduled shuttle service is also available to transport guests to nearby shopping malls.

Once we entered the room, the kids are surprised with goodies. This was the first hotel who provide goodies bag for kids with cute teddy, bag, marshmallow and colour pencil to keep them occupied. (Additional set of goodies can be purchase at RM 40). Currently the hotel provide only one set of goodies for a room stay.

Dorsett Subang is a kids friendly place to be. The hotel provides kids bathrobe, plastic cups, kids slippers, small chair for them near the sink area, duckling for them to play during bath time, and set maximum TV voice tone. There is no Cartoon channel for the kids but I guess the hotel facilities with pools, kids room and playarea is enough to entertain them. The deluxe room can perfectly fits in another extra bed and my kids still have space to move around.

The best part is we can check out at 4pm. No rushing to pack. Slowly enjoy the breakfast and swimming session first.

The kids keep nagging daddy to blow the swimming float for them. Daddy ask me a hard question ‘Where is the Air Pump??’ I am looking at him with a confused and miserable face. Do we need it? I thought you can just blow them up. He is going to blow 4 swimming floats and one beach ball!! Haha..I am laughing together with the kids..Opss..okok that will be the very important item to bring in my travel checklist next round.

First time see plastic cups for the kids in hotel room. The kids can both use it to drink water and use inside bathtub to splash water..

Another point I would like to mention is the door setup towards the bathroom. The wooden slide door is so much better than those glass door design. Safe deco and once I step inside, there are no gaps / steps (to avoid kids missing the steps or falling down).

Now we are heading to Cafe Aroma for our first activities of the day - Making Cup Cakes!!!

BARBECUE DELIGHTS AT TERAZZA BRASSERIE

Getting ourselves ready for dinner. My kids said they are very hungry by now and the first thing they saw is the ice cream corner!

By 7pm, the place is almost full and the food is beautifully presented. International cuisines that serves delectable desserts. The kids spotted the chocolate fountain and quickly took few sticks of marshmallow.

Dorsett Grand Subang’s Barbecue Delights at Terazza Brasserie will ve every Friday and Saturday from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm.

For those with a heartier appetite for dinner, they can choose the Barbecue Delight buffet option at Terazza Brasserie; while the parents enjoy the buffet at RM118.00 nett per person, the children are entitled to dine at the buffet for FREE as part of the Kids Stay and Dine for Free offer!

Delicacies served at the outlet include skewers of different cuts of seasoned meats as well as live cooking stations for grilled seafood on the terrace. For a selection of cold seafood served on ice, choose from poached shrimps, clams, mussels, oysters and a variety and accompaniments. A soup station in Malaysian style will add to the experience.

During the school holidays, as an added bonus and entertainment for the kids a Kids’ playroom is setup. Activities include; kids friendly movies with comfy chairs, lego building station and colouring with Faber Castell. The great thing about this kids room - Everything inside is NEW!

For fun and learning outside the hotel, you visit the concierge desk for discount ticket for kids’ friendly activities such as Kidzania. These tickets can be used anytime during or after your stay.

Mummies can sit here relax themselves, while kids running all over the place and finding their favourite toys.

Splash Splash!! It's swimming time. The kids are waiting for this moments. My son first experience stepping into swimming pool and he seems enjoy it so much Morning swim is great and pleasurable. Awesome kids pool!

FAMILY DIM SUM BRUNCH @ THE EMPEROR CHINESE RESTAURANT

Brunch is available every Sunday and Public Holiday from 10.00am to 2.30pm priced at RM82.00 nett per person. For Senior Citizen (age 60 years old and above) and children (age 12 years old and below) they can enjoy this brunch at 50% discount.

The Emperor, located at the Mezzanine floor of Dorsett Grand Subang, is one of the top choices for buffet Dim Sum in the city on Sundays and Public Holidays, serving their House Specialities which are Steamed Prawns and Spinach Crystal Dumpling, Steamed “Siew Mai” Emperor Style, Deep Fried Yam Puff with Barbecue Chicken and also their Baked Mini Egg Tart Custard. For those who want to enjoy something different other than Dim Sum, you don’t have to worry as The Emperor have a wide menu ranges from Cold Starter, Chinese Barbecue Stall, Soups, Live Station Stall and also refreshing dessert to finish up.

Daddy has finished eating, thus both girls can follow him to the kids corner for their colouring session to keep them occupied, while myself still enjoying the buffet spread with my boy inside.

Although here served Halal dim sum, but I can assured you that the taste is so good. I am actually eating more and hubby asking me are you sure you can finish?? My favourite will be the soft BBQ bun, fried sesame ball, BBQ poultry, fishball, har gau, egg tart, yong tau foo and lots more.

My comment : Enjoy my stay here with warm welcome and friendly staff that always put a smile on their face and greet us. Efficient room service. Clean Family oriented rooms. Carefully design room that provide facilities that accommodates kids needs that make me a happy mum. Feeling great stepping into each of the dining place where they have kids cutlery ready for us and kids corner is an additional advantage. I am satisfied with the food quality here; my kids appetite seems to be good during their stay.
