Melaka 20-21 June 2009 (Weekend trip)
|
Looking back at photo album 5 years back, full of memories
and I feel like blogging about it. The places I visited with Hubby where we
just know each other for 2 months and we begin our travelling trip quite often
almost every month to the local places in Malaysia. It was the best travel
mates that I ever had. Considerate, patience, kind and yes pamper me a lot. We
went to Melaka together with my bestie and partner too. Both us couples stay in
Avillion Legacy Melaka, spacious bedroom with full amenities and just drive
about 10 minutes to the city center.
We visited the famous places in Melaka to
take some nice pictures and at night visit the Eye of Malaysia.
The first place to visit - Christ Church built by the Dutch when they took possession of Malacca
from the Portuguese, it's one of Malacca’s most defining structures.
Situated along Jalan Gereja (also known as Church Street) it is an
instantly recognizable brick-red building with a huge white cross at the
top.

Not to be missed
are the satay celup at night where we reached early to start queuing at 5.30pm
@ Ban Lee Siang. Parking is always the big problem here. Jonker street is happening
place and must visit when you come to Melaka. Many stores offering different
kind of products and we bought a couple rings and some souevnier too. It is always a better option to stay at the hotel guest room along the Jonker Street area for you
to avoid the traffic and you can just walk down to the street for food and
shopping around. |

Eye on Malaysia observation wheel. Eye on Melaka is a Ferry wheel / observation wheel located in the
central Melaka on the bank of Malacca River. The 60 meter tall Ferry
wheel provides an excellent view of the Straits of Melaka & Melaka
River. |

Nothing much to do at night? We hang out at the kopitiam. Poker game is such a hit at that time |
