Short Weekend Stay with my Family @ Pullman Bangsar Kuala Lumpur

Wednesday, April 06, 2016 0 Comments A+ a-

We enjoy our stay at Pullman Bangsar last Saturday and it was a great start ahead of the year to bring my kids to chill out and have fun staying outside and bring them a short tour around KL. I have make early booking to redeem my free stay voucher that I received from the lucky draw event last year and the reservation agent by the name Jayne Law is very helpful in replying my email and give me a prompt response regards to my concern and request. I redeem a deluxe room that comes with a king sized bed ( non smoking room) and given a complimentary baby cot for my son.

I do have concern if they allow 2 adults + 3 kids inside. But anyway my kids are young kids age below 6, so we can share the bed (hopefully mummy will not fall down the bed). One nite before I pack our luggage and it seems a lot to bring even just for a night stay. Bring the kids blanket and small bedsheet as well and the snacks that they love to eat. With this hot weather, I also bring along medicine (flu, cough and fever) – just in case. Moreover, both my girl and son also still have dry cough and flu. So hubby said no swimming session for them. But I still bring their swimming suit.

We reached early to Pullman Bangsar just 20 minutes drive from our house. Managed to find a good parking lot and for every in house guest the parking is free of charge. Just verify your room number at the concierge area to get the complimentary free parking.  Each time you want to go out, just tell them the room number and show them the parking ticket. They will validate for you. The hotel lobby is spacious and looks inviting. The staff greet us with a big smile and welcoming us. The check in was fast and we can check in at 1pm (I also request for early check in), upon availability they will provide. Free WIFI in the room with high speed and the lobby place as well. The kids are excited jumping up and down looking for room no 0611. Poor hubby have to carry the heavy luggage..but he already get used to it. Lol!!!

The lift is very secure. We have to scan our room card and press the 6th floor. This is to ensure only in house guest can go into the hotel room floor  and I feel safe inside.

So let’s check out our deluxe room. The first thing I do is open up the curtain and shouted Wow!!!! Look at the nice view! We have the deluxe room facing the swimming pool view. My kids love it of course!

Hubby favourite spot
Deluxe Room - The contemporary 35 square meters of space room have a big space with a large king size bed, a working desk, HD Television, wardrobe that comes with safe box, iron, hangers, laundry bag and they even provide a yoga mat and dumbbell.

Next, we peep on the elegant bathroom. Clean and hygienic with separate shower (with glass door), and my kids are happily saying they want to bath now inside the bath tub! We have more space to walk around inside the bathroom and they also provide hairdryer.

The sockets are available in few section and the kettle condition looks good (because I am very particular on the stains). They also provide a small container to put the ice cube. Mini fridge, coffee and tea is all readily available plus with two complimentary bottle mineral water for in house guest.

Almost every corner you can find lights and lamps. You can adjust the lighting. There are also torch lights.
Comfort room with complete necessities for a deluxe room that perfectly fits 5 of us. My son baby cot is clean and covered with white bedsheet and a soft pillow provided. It is a playpen from Graco brand and my two girls starting to ask me to carry them inside..okok..just for a while they just want to feel the brand new stuff.
We have one scenario which never happen before during our stay in hotel. My kids accidentally press the digit few times at the safe box where hubby put his valuables inside. It was locked after 3 times password is key in wrongly. We quickly call the reception and ask for help. The staff come immediately with his tool box and smiling looking at my naughty kids. He ask them how are you? Do you like this place? What’s your name? My second girl answer him and nod her head. He said OK this is small problem give him 5 minutes to reset the password and open the safe box. Sigh..looks troublesome huh..a lesson learn. The helpful staff is smiling again and said it’s all done Sir!..Enjoy your stay here…Glad to hear that.
Play time!!

We woke up early the next day to have breakfast buffet at the Link located at Ground Floor. Link serves International buffet spread that have so much varieties of food; both Local and Western Cuisines. I bring my kids to walk around asking them what they want to eat. As usual they are are picky eater and hard to please them. When they finally found the food they like, I am more relieve and I can look for my favourite food.

My recommendations will be the scrambled egg & sunny side egg, nasi lemak, soup noodles (where we can choose many types of condiments and noodles types),fresh pastries, yogurt, soft muffins, and the hot cup of latte.

Overall the food are valuable for RM 53 nett per person and many choices I can have here. The most disappointing food was the porridge section and some of the fried item on the counter was not crispy. The staff are friendly and clean the empty plates quickly so I can have more space to put my food. There are no issues on the cleanliness ( no flies) and the dining place is comfortable too.

They have a nice outdoor swimming pool and kids pool. But no playground area for the kids.
A huge fitness center and we can also relax ourselves with the steam bath or sauna room at Level 4.

More positive comment from my side about this hotel but there are also some comments that I would like to feedback to them:

1)  The window lock is broken and my kids actually took it off (Dangerous). They should check it.
2)  My hubby discover that one of the power socket nearby the working desk are not in function.
3)  My kids found a cockroach during night time on the floor.  That really scares me off.
4)  The ceiling lights on top of the sofa at the side is too low, when I stand up always hit my head.

5) Should consider having a playground or play area for the small kids to entertain them.

Overall, we like this place. I ask my kids if they love to stay here again. And three of them answer me Yes, Mummy! We like this place. We want to come again!
