Lecka Lecka, e@Curve Damansara

Back then i always pass by Lecka Lecka at Sungai Wang outlet and now expanding their business into  e@Curve which operates in a bright and open space opposite the Cineplex on level 2 of the mall.

Lecka Lecka is best and well known for their Gelato which is fresh made daily in traditional Italian style and 99.9% FAT-FREE for sorbets and 94.9% FAT-FREE for milk-based products. Made fresh daily at their own factory right here in Kuala Lumpur, with the healthiest of fruits and only the best ingredients sourced from around the world. Lecka Lecka have over 150 flavours to choose from and the do not worry about  your diet plan. It was absolutely low in calories count and contains more nutrients.

We arrived quite early for this food tasting and Nita, the supervisor is there to assist us and introducing their specialities here. The staff is quite helpful and they ensure the place is clean all the time.

Array of desserts and pastries. Eye-catching promo at the counter offering hotdogs combo, sandwiches , chilled smoothies, waffles with gelato and warm home style brownies with Gelato.

Special offers for Sogo Card members and AEON members

Hard to resist seeing the mouth watering menu with the temptations of small bite for each - waffle, smoothies, cupcakes, banana puff,  Gelato Stick, Gelato Milkshakes and more. Reasonable price for this kiosk chain desserts counter.

Comfortable ambiances with large seating space.

Even the waiting area for your waffle or any other orders is quite impressive. Or just hanging around here while waiting to catch a movie with a cup of Gelato.

Smooth texture Nokies Gelato - Combination of Hazelnut + Cookies. I love this crunchy bite flavour on the big Single Cone.

Cup loaded with double scoop of fresh and firm Gelato . Finally, after few spoonful of tasting around, i decided on Strawberry Cheese ( The best seller) and Ferrero Rocher.. Not too sweet just the way I like it. Light and milky.

Happy faces and excited for their first Gelato for this weekend. Yummylicious!

Slice of Red Velvet Cake (RM 6.50). Layered cake topped with creamy cheese. Moist and soft red velvet sponge.

Waffle with double scoop Gelato (RM 9.90). Gelato is slightly warmer than the normal ice cream, rich and creamy taste. Gelato is churned at a much slower speed, which introduces less air into the base.  That's the reason why it taste more dense than ice creams. Freshly made waffle with chocolate and vanilla Gelato drizzled with chocolate sauce. Delicious.

Warm Cup of Cappucino. It wasn't my liking as the Cappucino has too much of milk. I can't really taste the brewed espresso taste.

Fruity goodness Mango Smoothies. Healthy and refreshing drinks ideal just for adults and kids..My girl  also love it so much.

Wide varieties of cooling Gelato and there are three different delightful Gelato Sticks. Well the good thing is we can ask for tasting for each flavour.
Thanks to Damayanthi for this sumptious Gelato treat!

Salad Atelier Cafe @ The Weld Raja Chulan Kuala Lumpur - Second Visit

Wednesday, June 18, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

After the first visit to Salad Atelier, i managed to share with my colleague and convince them that the salad is good and we should try out one day for a healthy lunch. We bought 6 vouchers from Groupon offering [50% Off] Cash Voucher for Salads, Soups, Smoothies, & more for RM10 only. For paying RM 10 we can enjoy RM 20 worth of food ordered..

There are up to 88 choices of salads, toppings, dressing, and smoothies. We can customized our salads with cheese, salami, seafood, roast beef and chicken, blue cheese dressing, peanut dressing, avocado wasabi dressing, and lots more. There are daily chef recommendations as well so you won't be cracking your head to think of the long list choices for your salad or sandwiches. Price is quite reasonable and generous portion for the salad servings.

For vouchers purchased we can choose the followingStarting with a choice of three sizes :-

Size 1 (RM 13.90) = 1 Base + 6 Main (Baby Salad)
Size 2 (RM 17.90) = 1 Base + 6 Main + 2 Supplementary (Adult Salad)
Size 3 (RM 22.90) = 1 Base + 6 Main + 2 Supplementary + 1 Prime (Monster Salad).

In total we have RM 20 each person. So i choose the RM 17.90 and some of them added on the soup of the day. We cannot add on prime item at additional price of RM 2.50 when using vouchers. Not flexi and tie to those terms..So no choice we have to follow the terms stated in the Groupon website.

  • Cash voucher does not cover additional top-up for menu items. Top-ups have to be paid in cash to Salad Atelier.

Huge bowl of salad which actually serves as our main course for lunch

This round i choose soba as my base and added on my favourite fried egg plant and pumpkin. But the grapefruit taste too sour today.

Trying out the duck meat..it was good

Soup of the day

I do agree with my colleagues that the pasta base (fusilli) is disappointing because the texture is too hard to chew and bland ..She was quite upset.

Anyway, Enjoyable day with my colleagues..and yes we do felt healthy now ( probably just for today)..haha..

London Town @ Publika Solaris (The reality)

Wednesday, June 11, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

Saw this new deal from Groupon and the picture illustration is really interesting. Beautifully plated but the reality and truth is what we get here from my past visit in May, everything on the plate is burnt - the chicken meat especially is the most disgusting part, the lamb meat, the ham and where about is the seafood??

Finally, saw this restaurant already close down

Kumamono Bear Paw Burger @ Sungai Wang Plaza Kuala Lumpur

Tuesday, June 10, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

Kumamono Bear Paw Burger is another new trend and the outlet is actually linked to U-Cafe, and we can sit there to dine in as well. Located at lower ground floor at Sungai Wang Plaza, Kumamono burger is totally different from the famous Bear Paw

1 set for RM9.90 instead of RM20.70 from Groupon. Hubby bought this to enjoy the bear paw bun with his colleagues together. The very first step is to choose the bun flavour , next is the meat choices and the sauces.
  • Kuma Bun flavour, choose 1:
    • Yam
    • Strawberry
    • Squid ink
  • Meat, choose 1:
    • Karaage crispy chicken
    • Kaarage spicy crispy chicken
    • Oishii fish fillet
  • Sauce, choose 1:
    • Tartar sauce
    • Honey mustard
    • Thai chilli
    • Wasabi mayo
    • Black pepper
    • Nacho cheese
  • Fries (RM4.90 value)
  • Drink (RM5.90 value), choose 1:
  • Passion fruit green tea
  • Jasmine green tea

He choose the above and the burger taste good with special squid ink soft bread and cheesy sauce. The  chicken patty is crispy and delicious.

The burger buns are in the shape of bear paw and also customizable. Comes together with a fries and tea. The fries is quite disappointing - salty and very thirsty after having those french fries.

Overall it was a nice experience trying out new food but the portion is quite small. For RM 9.90 is quite cheap and great offer from Groupon.

Oiso Korean Traditional Cuisine @ Menara Hap Seng Kuala Lumpur

Tuesday, June 10, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

We decided to try this new Korean food in Menara Hap Seng. Oiso Korean Restaurant have another outlet in Bangsar South and i have tried it once before. The food is good with big serving and they have set lunch to choose that comes with three fixed and refillable side dish (kimchi, spinach and anchovies). I ordered the Bulgogi chicken (RM 18.90) that served on the sizzling plate and keeps warm with the sweet soy sauce marinade chicken meat.  The chicken meat is succulent and have a unique flavour. This portion can be shared among two person.

Enjoyable set lunch with my colleagues and we can share all these together. Reasonable price with nice ambiance to dine in.

Chicken Bibimbap (RM 16.90), Delicious hot stone bowl rice served with various  vegetables such as lettuce, seaweed, carrot and beansprouts with chicken meat and a nicely done fried egg. You can choose to mixed these with sweet chili sauce. Flavourful and satisfying meal.

*Advisable to come early during lunch hour (weekdays), the place is usually crowded and the limited staff coming to your request. We have to call few times even for the bill. They should improve on that and to manage the long queue.
